Opportunity Summary 

To provide a foundation of agtech through the pla4orm of communication/storytelling. Mentees will use a variety of digital tools such as video, photography and wri.ng to document a special agtech project related to AI and climate change being led by researchers and academics at CSUMB. At the same mentees have a chance to learn more about agtech and opportunities in this growing field. The program targets college/university students and those early in their career with an emphasis on women from underserved populations. The storylines identified in the project are communicated through a variety of content channels and pla4orms including social media, digital newsletter and micro videos that are all interconnected in spotlighting agtech.

In addition, program participants are offered opportuni.es to network and learn from stakeholders in agrifoodtech including entrepreneurs, investors, educators and community leaders via a series of webinars are that allow participants to connect with speakers and engage in discussion. From Farms to Incubators (F21) is From Farms to Incubators is a multimedia storytelling pla4orm that showcases the stories of Women in Agtech with the mission of2 connec.ng, eleva.ng and inspiring women in agrifoodtech. The ini.a.ve includes an award-winning documentary, a book and articles that have been featured in Forbes Women, Worth magazine and Techonomy. F21 was founded and is led by Amy Wu an award-winning writer for the women’s ag and agtech movement.
