Opportunity Summary 

The Public Relations Intern supports day-to-day activities for a hospitality and lifestyle public relations agency representing hotels, resorts, restaurants, wineries and tourism-related brands. The internship provides hands-on experience in media relations, strategic communications and content development within a fast-paced agency environment. Responsibilities include assisting with media list research, drafting press materials, monitoring and compiling media coverage, supporting influencer and journalist outreach, conducting industry trend research and assisting with administrative and client support tasks. The intern also gains exposure to campaign strategy, client communications and hospitality marketing initiatives. Through this internship, the student develops professional skills in writing, communication, organization, research, time management and media relations while gaining practical experience in the public relations and hospitality industries.

Tasks:

• Assist with media list development
• Research journalists, influencers, podcast hosts and industry contacts
• Draft press releases, media alerts and client materials
• Monitor media coverage and compile press clips and reports
• Support social media and influencer campaign coordination
• Assist with event planning, media visits and press trips
• Conduct trend research related to hospitality, travel and lifestyle industries
• Maintain editorial calendars
• Provide administrative and project support as needed

Training:

One-on-one training covering various tasks; regular bi-weekly meetings to review projects and provide mentorship
