Opportunity Summary 

Nurturing Amir Co. is a growing lifestyle and personal brand seeking a motivated marketing student to support digital marketing operations for one semester. The intern will work directly under the supervision of the Brand Founder to assist with email marketing setup, social media content creation, graphic design for digital platforms, and attendance at brand photo/video shoots. This is a hands-on, project-based internship ideal for students looking to apply classroom marketing knowledge to a real brand environment. The intern will contribute to live campaigns and content that reaches an active audience, gaining direct exposure to what it takes to grow and sustain a modern digital brand.

Tasks:

  • Set up and manage email marketing campaigns including drafting copy, designing email templates, segmenting subscriber lists, and reviewing delivery analytics
  • Design social media graphics, story templates, and promotional assets for Instagram, TikTok, and other active brand platforms using Canva or Adobe tools
  • Build and maintain a monthly content calendar, scheduling posts and coordinating content themes across platforms
  • Attend brand photo and video shoots, assisting with behind-the-scenes content capture and organizing assets for post-production use
  • Conduct hashtag and keyword research to support organic reach and SEO strategy
  • Monitor weekly social media and email analytics and compile performance summaries with observations and recommendations
  • Research industry trends and competitor brands to bring data-informed content ideas to planning sessions
  • Assist in setting up and reviewing paid social media ad campaigns (Meta/Instagram Ads) under the direct guidance of the Brand Founder

Training:

The intern will receive the following training throughout the placement:

  • General Employer Orientation (Week 1): An introductory session covering Nurturing Amir Co.'s brand identity, mission, target audience, tone of voice, and current marketing goals. The intern will be given access to brand assets, platforms, and tools.
  • Weekly One-on-One Mentor Meetings: Scheduled weekly check-ins with Brand Founder Alexus Mozell' to review completed tasks, provide feedback, set priorities for the upcoming week, and address any questions.
  • Platform Walkthroughs: Hands-on training on the email marketing platform (Mailchimp/Flodesk), Canva, and social media scheduling tools, with guided tutorials and live demonstration.
  • Provision of Work Samples: The intern will be provided with examples of past email campaigns, social media posts, and brand graphics to understand the established visual and written style.
  • Task Contextualization: Before each major task is assigned, the Brand Founder will provide an overview of the goal, audience, and expected outcome so the intern understands the purpose of their work within the broader strategy.
  • On-Site Shoot Orientation: Prior to attending brand shoots, the intern will receive a briefing on the shoot concept, shot list, and their specific role during production.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to:

  • Set up and execute a basic email marketing campaign, including list management, copywriting, and performance tracking using an industry-standard platform (e.g., Kalviyo).
  • Design on-brand social media graphics and content assets using tools such as Canva or Adobe Express, demonstrating understanding of visual brand consistency.
  • Develop and manage a social media content calendar, applying knowledge of platform algorithms, audience engagement strategies, and content scheduling.
  • Analyze digital marketing performance data (email open rates, social media reach/engagement) and communicate findings in a clear written or verbal report.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct in a real brand environment, including participation in brand shoots and collaborative content planning sessions
