Crystal Yvonne Consulting, LLC is a human services consulting firm dedicated to strengthening the organizations and professionals who support our communities. Founded by Crystal Yvonne Sheffield, an experienced social work and human services consultant, the organization focuses on developing effective programs, training teams, and improving service delivery across diverse settings. As part of this work, we offer a structured and enriching Social Work Student Field Program designed to prepare emerging professionals for real‑world practice. Our internship placements provide hands‑on experience in program development, case management, outreach, and community collaboration. Students receive guided supervision, meaningful project assignments, and opportunities to engage with partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams. By combining organizational expertise with a strong commitment to student growth, Crystal Yvonne Consulting creates learning environments where future social workers can build confidence, develop core competencies, and cultivate a compassionate, community‑centered approach to practice.

Program Information

Social work students placed through Crystal Yvonne Consulting, LLC will serve in supportive, advocacy‑focused roles across a variety of human services settings. While they will not always function as long‑term case managers, students will assist clients in identifying needs, setting goals, and accessing appropriate community resources. Students may support clients by: - connecting individuals to community resources - promoting access to essential programs and services - assisting with paperwork, documentation, and online applications - responding to emerging needs within the service environment Throughout their placement, students will engage regularly with community partners, service providers, and agency staff to facilitate referrals and resource navigation. Initial client interactions typically include introducing themselves, building rapport, and completing a brief intake or needs assessment. From there, students research available supports and guide clients toward appropriate agencies, programs, or collaborative services.

Health & Safety

Students will be working with the public in most cases, and should use precautions in the event of contagious illness.
