Under the direct supervision of Dr. Lee, the Undergraduate Research Assistant supports a range of research tasks for the lab's ongoing studies.
Learning Outcomes
-Develop an understanding of the research process, including study design, data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
-Strengthen critical thinking skills by evaluating empirical evidence and interpreting research findings.
-Demonstrate proficiency in research-related skills, such as literature review, survey administration, and data management.
-Gain experience using research tools and technologies commonly employed in organizational research.
Training
- Provide training in the research process, including study design, data collection, analysis, and dissemination
- Instruction on conducting literature reviews and evaluating empirical research.
- Train the student in research-related tasks, such as survey administration, data management, and quality assurance procedures.
- Provide opportunities to use research tools and technologies commonly employed in organizational research.
- Offer regular feedback and mentorship.
Tasks/Duties
- Conducting literature searches and reviewing scholarly articles relevant to ongoing research projects.
- Assisting with study preparation, survey administration, and data collection activities.
- Organizing, entering, and managing research data while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Using research tools and software commonly employed in organizational research.
- Assisting in the preparation of research materials, reports, tables, and presentations.
