Position Description
Experiences in prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions in Cal State Fullerton student-athletes, while supervised by an athletic trainer.
Internship open to students enrolled in the Master of Science in Athletic Training program only.

2. Implement practice patterns that adhere to standards and best practices.
a. Upper extremity evaluation
b. Comprehensive rehabilitation programs
3. Comply with local, state, federal, institutional/organizational laws and regulations that pertain to healthcare delivery. Comply with relevant healthcare standards, statutes, and regulations, including:
o Mandatory reporting obligations
o Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
o Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
o Universal Precautions/OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen Standards
o Pharmacologic management
Training
Provide instruction and feedback on clinical skills
Formally assess clinical skills performance
Provide feedback and formal assessment of professional behaviors
Tasks/Duties
Participating in all scheduled clinical hours.
Performing clinical evaluations on patients
Developing and delivery focused care plans to patients
Demonstrating competence in all skills assessments as assigned and scheduled
Completing regular facility maintenance tasks
Demonstrating appropriate professional behaviors
