Opportunity Summary 

Support the strategic procurement function through data analysis, report generation, supplier follow-up and recurring system audits. 

Tasks:

* Run system audits and ensure errors are corrected by the responsible buyer(s)
* Create a tracking log and standard work to satisfy recurring supplier data certification requests (REACH, sustainability, etc)
* Create a procurement Team Improvement Board (TIB) template to include work instructions on downloading and parsing system generated data to measure supplier on-time delivery, quality, cost savings, etc.
* Generate and submit electronically supplier requests for quotation. reaching out to suppliers and prospective suppliers to ensure timely submission and answer questions

Training:

The intern will attend an FSD new employee orientation on the first day of employment. They will then review a new employee directory containing information related to the function and where to locate templates and other data. The intern will then work directly with their assigned mentor to receive training on processes, systems, and reporting.

Learning Outcome:

* Access the MRP system and run basic queries
* Understand the strategic procurement function, from initial demand to quoting, award and contract generation
* Understand instructions and prioritize workload efficiently
