Opportunity Summary 

Seeking curious and passionate plant scientists to work in our family-owned and operated tissue culture lab located in Watsonville! Polymorph collaborates closely with several of the largest and most respected plant breeders and nurseries in California to provide clean stock and germplasm preservation services for crops such as Strawberry, Dahlia, Garlic, Hemp, etc. This is a great opportunity to not only learn the art and science of plant tissue culture, but also entrepreneurship, as you will be working directly with the business owners.

Opportunity Training 

After completing safety training, students will be trained in aseptic technique, media preparation, explant initiation, multiplication, rooting, and acclimation, as well as day-to-day laboratory maintenance.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Will be working around chemicals (bleach), sharp objects (scalpels & scissors), and high temperatures (autoclave and hot plates)
