Neighborhood Harvest

Growing community, one harvest at a time.

Neighborhood Harvest is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit gleaning surplus fruit and garden produce from backyards, orchards, and local farms across Humboldt County, then sharing it freely with neighbors through Harvest Hang Outs, free produce stands, and food pantry partners.

 

Health & Safety

Students are NOT allowed to conduct the following activities when serving at this site: Students are not allowed to enter private residences associated with this site. Students are not allowed to use ladders.  Produce will be placed into collection bins or buckets and carried short distances to load into the back of the pick up truck or vehicle for distribution; bins will not be loaded onto machinery. Training will be provided around safety practices for these and other activities. We also will always have water, snacks, cool down rags, and sun hats available.
