Program Information Main Description:\r\nBehavior interventionists are the front line of ABA services. They provide direct ABA therapy in the school and home settings to clients with developmental disorders such as autism. Their duties are to implement programs developed by the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) and/or the master level supervisor. During ABA sessions Behavior Interventionist will be responsible for conducting 1:1 sessions and is responsible for supporting clients with increasing compliance and redirecting maladaptive behaviors such as tantrum, aggression, property destruction, and elopement. The behavior interventionist is supervised by a Master\u2019s Level\u2019s supervisor and/or directly by BCBA, and will be receiving ongoing training on the implementation of the client\u2019s program.\r\n\r\nDuties include but are not limited to:\r\n\u2022	Implementing ABA teaching strategies such as Discrete Trial Training and Pivotal Response Teaching\r\n\r\n\u2022	Implement behavior modification strategies and follow behavior intervention plans that have been developed by clinical supervisor.\r\n\r\n\u2022	Implement ABA strategies to improve communication.\r\n\r\n\u2022	Implement ABA strategies to improve self-help skills such as dressing, grooming, and feeding.\r\n\r\n\u2022	Implement ABA strategies to improve community skills, social skills, play skills, and safety skills.\r\n\r\n\u2022	Collect electronic data on goals for every session.\r\n\r\n\u2022	Use and implement any visuals such as token boards, visual schedules, and visual cues designed by a BCBA.\r\n\r\n\u2022	Communicate with the scheduling department if sessions are cancelled at the door, or if sessions end early.\r\n\r\n\u2022	BI\u2019s will be expected to participate and lead game boards, pretend play, outdoor play, and play with playdoh, coloring, writing, playing with toy figures, toy cars, toy dolls, etc, depending on the client\u2019s age and client\u2019s developmental level.\r\n\r\n\u2022	BI\u2019s will be expected to lead/participate in singing nursery songs with young age children.\r\n\r\n\u2022	BI\u2019s may be expected to lead toilet training programs developed by BCBA\u2019s. However, BI\u2019s are not permitted to wipe or change client\u2019s diapers.\r\n\r\n*Please keep in mind that description of duties may at any point change based on the needs of each individual client.\r\n\r\n
