Marketing and Digital Growth Associate

Lawly is an early-stage startup building a marketplace connecting law school applicants with admissions consultants. We're at the most exciting phase of a startup: launching our platform and acquiring our first customers. In this internship you'll own real growth channels, experiment with creative acquisition tactics, and see direct results from your work.

As part of our Marketing & Digital Growth team, you'll drive user acquisition and build brand authority through multiple channels: social media content creation (TikTok, Instagram), paid advertising. We're looking for creative self-starters who can think outside the box, test unconventional ideas, and move fast without needing constant direction. If you want to learn how early-stage companies grow from zero and build something that actually matters, this is your opportunity.

If this job post is up, it means we are still looking for more members to join the team.

This is an unpaid internship.
If you have questions you can email us at jd@mylawly.com.

Training:

Brooke will receive structured onboarding and ongoing training focused on school partnership development, program coordination, professional communication, and project management. During the first week, she will receive an overview of the organization, her responsibilities, program objectives, communication standards, and the tools and systems she will use in the role.

Because the internship is fully remote, training and supervision will take place virtually. Brooke will meet weekly with her TikTok and Instagram/LinkedIn supervisors to review her progress, answer questions, establish priorities, and provide guidance. She will receive feedback on all of her work, with supervisors reviewing assignments and deliverables and providing specific feedback to help her improve.

Training will include direct instruction, demonstrations, and observational learning. Her initial training will involve observing how social media content, school partnerships, and program communications are managed. She will then gradually take ownership of her responsibilities, with supervisors reviewing her work and providing feedback before and as she transitions to working independently.
The training is designed to transition Brooke from guided learning to independent execution. As she becomes more comfortable with the role, she will be given increasing responsibility for coordinating school relationships, communicating with contacts, tracking program activities, and identifying opportunities to improve the program.

Because the internship is fully remote and does not involve hazardous equipment or physical workplace risks, specialized safety training is not required. Her orientation will nevertheless cover professional conduct, appropriate communication, confidentiality, responsible handling of information, remote-work expectations, and expectations for working with schools and students.

Learning Outcome:

Learn how to grow a startup from zero users by testing multiple acquisition channels simultaneously
Master data-driven marketing: A/B testing, conversion optimization, attribution, and knowing when to double down vs. cut losses
Develop content strategy across multiple formats: newsletters, video, static graphics, written content optimized for different platforms and audiences
Strengthen relationship-building skills through outreach to influential stakeholders and securing high-value interviews
Build portfolio of viral content, successful campaigns, published content, and measurable growth results (follower growth, conversion rates, subscriber growth)
Understand startup velocity: how to move fast, test ideas cheaply, and scale what works
