Special Events InternAt — Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos
The Special Events Intern at the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos will support with planning, coordination, and execution of BGCSM signature fundraising events. This role offers a hands-on experience in nonprofit event management, donor stewardship, and community relations while helping advance the organization's mission to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
The internship will provide opportunities to build practical experience in nonprofit event planning, auction and donation coordination, volunteer communication, donor stewardship, and community engagement.
The student will receive approximately 2-4 hours of initial training, including an orientation to event procedures, organizational policies, communication protocols, scheduling, guest services, and use of relevant event-planning tools. Ongoing hands-on training and supervision will be provided throughout the internship, with opportunities for feedback and guidance to ensure successful completion of assigned activities. The student will not be working directly with minors or other vulnerable populations; therefore, Mandated Reporter training is not required.
