Community Agroecology Action Fellow (College Corps Only)At — Resource Conservation District of Monterey County (RCDMC)
Activity Description
The Community Action Fellow will support RCDMC staff to implement climate resilience and other natural resource conservation projects at rural and urban sites throughout Monterey County. They will also support community outreach and education on agriculture and resource conservation topics. Tasks and responsibilities could include planting, communicating and connecting with volunteers from the community to address needs of community gardens, and supporting leadership of workforce development and volunteer groups to implement conservation practices (ex: soil health and irrigation efficiency).
Qualities, Skills, and Interests
The qualities/skills/interests we're looking for include being passionate about the environment, eager to engage with community, interest in food systems, Spanish language skills preferred but not required, ability to do physical work in outdoor settings, good communication skills, proactive, kind, and considerate.
