This position supports Bahati Foundation programs, including youth bike clinics, after-school cycling clubs, community rides, and other cycling-related outreach initiatives.
The Bahati Foundation's Bike Fest provides youth with a fun, hands-on introduction to cycling in a safe and supportive environment. Participants learn essential bicycle safety and riding skills, proper helmet fitting and use, bike handling techniques, and basic bicycle maintenance while building confidence and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles.
Students will receive a general orientation and training that outlines the specific responsibilities associated with each outreach activity. Training will include an overview of program expectations, youth engagement strategies, safety protocols, event procedures, communication guidelines, and the specific tasks required to support programs such as bike clinics, after-school cycling clubs, and community events.
The safety of all participants is a top priority for the Bahati Foundation. Students supporting our programs will receive an overview of all applicable safety procedures before each activity. Safety protocols include proper bicycle and helmet fitting, safe riding practices, equipment inspections, age-appropriate instruction, and clear communication between Foundation staff, school personnel, and volunteers. Most activities take place in partnership with elementary schools, where school staff remain responsible for student supervision.
