Opportunity Summary 

Opportunities to support children, teens and adults who are grieving are available, Individual contact, co facilitating children's, teens and adult support groups are options for students. A specialized support group for persons grieving a loss by suicide is also an option. Assistance with the preparation for community outreach events including Resource Fairs is also appreciated.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will learn about the 4 main tasks of mourning and how those tasks are explained and processed in the various support groups provided by New Hope. Direct interaction with and observation of individuals who are grieving will provide understanding and empathy which students can take with them into their professional lives.

Opportunity Training 

Introduction to the agency including mission and current projects. Review of support group facilitator and participant manuals.
