VIP Fashion PR InternAt — Michele Marie PR
We are looking for detail oriented, enthusiastic, and driven interns to work in our LA office starting in September for at least 2-3 days a week. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in fashion PR, is in touch with digital trends, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Tasks:
- Track, update, and maintain fashion samples using Mayvien, ensuring sample movements and inventory records are accurate and organized.
- Assist with celebrity and influencer gifting, including researching appropriate recipients, preparing samples and gifting materials, organizing shipments or deliveries, and maintaining accurate records of gifting activity.
-Assist in visually merchandising and maintaining the company showroom, organizing samples and client inventory according to agency standards and ensuring products are accessible and professionally presented.
- Conduct industry and media research to identify relevant influencers, editors, publications, media outlets, and emerging opportunities for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle clients.
-Research individual editors, influencers, publications, and media outlets to understand their areas of coverage, audiences, previous work, and relevance to specific clients.
-Assist with the development of targeted media and influencer lists based on client priorities, campaign objectives, product categories, and current industry trends.
-Assist with press and influencer outreach, including preparing contact lists and organizing outreach efforts.
-Review and organize media and influencer research to help PR teams identify potential editorial, celebrity, gifting, and partnership opportunities.
-Participate in team meetings and receive context on assigned projects in order to understand how individual tasks contribute to broader client campaigns and agency objectives.
-Observe and assist PR professionals during job-shadowing opportunities, gaining exposure to client servicing, media relations, celebrity relations, influencer relations, and showroom operations.
-Attend weekly executive team information sessions and apply insights from these sessions to assigned research, outreach, and PR projects.
-Maintain professional organization, accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality when handling client products, contact information, campaign materials, and agency communications.
Training:
The student will be trained through a general orientation, weekly scheduled group info sessions with executive team members, job shadowing, and ongoing task-specific training and feedback that gives a fuller perspective of working at a fashion pr agency.
Learning Outcome:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to apply foundational public relations strategies to real-world fashion, beauty, and lifestyle clients, conduct professional industry research and identify relevant media opportunities, and develop an understanding of the day-to-day operations and collaborative structure of a fashion public relations agency.
