Opportunity Summary 

The Applicant will assist a fully qualified ECE teacher in a Pre-Kindergarten classroom and will be responsible for the supervision of children, helping with curriculum planning and implimentation, and various other teaching duties.

1) The student will be involved in planing and developing ECE curriculum, which will be posted for parents weekly.
2) The student will have the opportunity to put teaching tools into practice by leading specific activities throughout the school day.
3) The student will gain classroom management skills through observation and mentoring.
4) The student will be a part of Parent Orientation night and participate in parent/teacher conferences to gain confidence interacting with parents
5) The student will practice skills to help children work through upset and how to manage challenging behavior.

Training:

The student will receive onboarding training and attend a general employee orientation. She will be working alongside a fully qualified ECE educator. She will also be meeting with the preschool director weekly and attend staff meetings with the other teachers. She will also do Mandated Reporter Trainings, Pest Management trainings, and attend continuing education workshops.
