Immersion Curriculum Support MentorAt — Independent Minds Academy

Independent Minds Academy's Immersion Curriculum Support Mentor works at the intersection of instructional design and one-on-one mentorship, helping students pursue self-directed learning goals within a standards-aligned, student-centered program. Under the supervision of credentialed educators and delivered remotely through Google Classroom and Google Meet, the role gives interns genuine ownership of meaningful work: designing high-interest lessons, instructional videos, and digital resources, and guiding students through Socratic seminars and individualized mentoring that make challenging concepts click. Projects such as: mentoring students individually, facilitating small-group instruction and Socratic seminars, and building learning experiences across subject areas (history, science, mathematics, language arts, and health), including applied initiatives such as Memory Lane, a student-led oral history project. Well suited to History, Science, Mathematics, English, and Kinesiology majors, as well as students in education, curriculum and instruction, instructional design, or educational technology.
