Able to lift 50 lbs. and stoop, bend, reach, stand and walk for extended periods of time. 

Abide by code of confidentiality. 

Attend all staff meetings and trainings. 

Tasks:

• Leading circle time, reading stories and conducting music/movement.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety and emergency procedures through daily practice indoors and outdoors.
• Conduct formal observations by choosing a time and place, such as art time or circle time, to write what they see, such as children's behavior, attention span, interests, and needs.
• Conduct informal observations by interacting with the children throughout the day.
• Reporting incidents or needs of the children and staff to the director in a timely manner.
• Conduct each learning part of the day by creating and leading art, circle time, games, and music/movement activities.

Training:

• Initial orientation conducted by the Director.
• Shadowing mentor teacher (Daily)
• Feedback to intern (Daily)
• Collaboration with mentor teacher (Weekly)
• Testing on procedures such as diapering, safety, reporting incidents-on app and to director (Monthly)

Learning Outcomes:

1) Know emergency and safety procedures.
2) Conduct and report observations.
3) Report any injury/incidents correctly and in a timely manner.
4) Conduct art projects, sensory projects, reading time, safe outside times, and diapering and food service skills appropriate for toddlers.
