Opportunity Summary 

Tasks:

    \n
  • Develop and distribute weekly employee benefits communications, translating benefit information into clear, engaging content to increase employee awareness of available benefits 
  • \n

  • Communicate with external vendors and suppliers to coordinate requests, provide updates, and ensure timely follow up
  • \n

  • Gather and analyze employee feedback to identify opportunities to improve onboarding communications and employee experience
  • \n

  • Organizes internal documents and/or files ranging from vendor files, invoices, to technical engineering drawings and specifications in a centralized system where each item can be found and retrieved easily without duplication of efforts
  • \n

  • Coordinate detail for employee engagement events
  • \n

  • Immediately bring to management’s attention any suspected nonconformance regarding all facility procedures and/or legal requirements
  • \n

  • Responsible for collecting and accurate data entry of financial information into a record management system
  • \n

  • Assist with invoice matching of receipt information and photocopying
  • \n

  • Other duties may be assigned
  • \n

Training:

\n

General employer orientation, weekly training with on-site Admin manager and Business Manager on client relations and procurement processes. Training with HR staff on employee benefits and communication to staff.

\n

Learning Outcome:

\n

By the end of the academic internship, the student will be well versed in streamlining our procurement processes, understanding the dynamic of a consultant/client relationship, develop strong professional written communication skills, understand communication pathways and relationship development with a client who serves the public, and understanding culture development for a on-site staff of 60 employees.
