Opportunity Summary

Make an Impact Before Your Day Really Gets Started! Looking for a meaningful way to complete your community service hours? Join Nancy’s Project and help provide food to local farmworker families experiencing food insecurity.

Your volunteer morning begins at 7:30 a.m. at Safeway in The Crossroads Carmel, where you’ll help load donated food into our van. From there, we head to Trader Joe’s in Pacific Grove to collect additional food donations. Your volunteer commitment ends around 10:00 a.m., making this a great opportunity to serve your community while still having most of your day ahead of you.

The food you help collect is delivered to one of Nancy’s Project’s five distribution sites in the Salinas Valley, where it goes directly to farmworker families in need.

Just 2½ hours of your time can make a real difference in the lives of local families!

4 service learning spots.

Opportunity Training

Students will be paired with seasoned volunteers that will instruct them how to package the donated food.
