This role supports campus textbook affordability initiatives by developing marketing and outreach materials that promote Zero Cost Course Materials (ZCCM), Library Reserves, and the Cougars Affordable Learning Materials (CALM) Program. Responsibilities include assisting with the identification and tracking of ZCCM courses for the class schedule, gathering and analyzing data related to courses using library resources and Open Educational Resources (OER), and helping increase awareness of affordable learning options among students and faculty. The position also supports the planning, coordination, and execution of CALM events, including workshops, tabling events, and other outreach activities, contributing to efforts that expand access to affordable course materials and enhance student success.
Students will develop skills in marketing, data analysis, event planning, and professional collaboration while gaining an understanding of textbook affordability initiatives, Open Educational Resources (OER), and library-supported learning materials that promote equitable access to education and student success.
Students will be provided written instruction and hands-on training for service learning tasks.
