This opportunity is for students in EDUC 380, Section 2 with Professor Love (Fall 2022)

Position Description

Students will assist instructors in partnership with Professor Love at identified schools within Vista USD. Students at identified sites will be completing the following tasks: 

• monitoring student participation in class discussions

• monitoring and assisting students with classwork during instruction

• assisting students one-on-one with homework or classwork

• reading with individual students or small groups

• math support with individual students or small groups

• greeting students and managing students to and from class

• supervision during transitions, at recess, or during lunch breaks

• monitoring on the playground or during PE activities

DEADLINE TO APPLY: Fall - October 1, Spring - March 1.

• All students will complete a packet provided by the school site.
• Students will be asked to provide current TB screening--must be within 4 years and state issued identification.

SERVICE LEARNING STUDENTS WILL NOT START THEIR HOURS UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN CLEARED BY THE SCHOOL SITE.

Application Instructions

Students will complete a Service Learning packet or Volunteer packet as the site.
