Remote Opportunity: Best Start Central Long Beach Phone Banking At — Long Beach Forward
(This opportunity is not currently being offered this semester) We are currently working with community members to be involved in the process of choosing how to spend $170,000 to ensure that children are safe, healthy, and ready to learn. We provide a space to contribute to this movement and reminding them that it is possible to change our community along with sharing a space to connect with others with similar experiences and learn about resources in the community.
Being able to understand the process of decision-making skills on how funds are allocated for a specific movement that the community decided on. The development of how to organize a community to make changes within their community.
We will be training students based on the events that might arise and if they feel comfortable of being involved with that particular project/campaign.
We are all currently working remotely and working through different channels such as zoom, google meets, teams to conduct and complete the current work.
