Studio AssistantAt — Siobhan Arnold Studio

Position Description (e.g. tasks, projects, assignments)
The studio assistant will support the lead artist in creative production and installation of visual arts exhibitions. S/he will assist with professional website maintenance and social media presence and assist lead artist with organization and maintenance of a professional visual art studio in downtown San Diego.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes
Studio Assistant will:
1) develop skills in exhibition design and production from concept to completion
2) gain experience with installation of visual art in professional gallery settings
3) develop skills in web design and maintenance including management of digital image assets
 

Desired Qualifications
1) strong organizational skills and attention to detail
2) experience with 2D and 3D artistic production including sewing skills
3) digital design skills and website experience
4) demonstrated industriousness and work ethic
5) ability to travel to downtown San Diego 3-4 times during length of internship

Length of position (Note: A semester is 16 weeks long.) 16 weeks
