Sport Journalism InternshipAt — Cruizers FC
Cruizers FC would like to partner with CSU Stanislaus to provide internships for any student that would like to gain first hand and a wide range of experiences with a local semi-professional soccer team.
- Create content and manage a successful social media campaign for different events on behalf of our Soccer team, by making sure that the images and text reflect each of our values and goals.
- Improve their journalism skills when writing and reporting about the activities that our team does in our community.
- Gain experience when interacting and communicating effectively with different people from various socioeconomic and ethnic groups.
- Assist and manage successfully community projects and events.
- Gain a deeper understanding of the social and emotional benefits that playing and supporting a sports team can bring to individuals.
- Work and collaborate as individuals and team members in order to achieve projects with tight deadlines.
- Skills acquired by teambuilding activities that will improve their self-esteem and mental health.
We plan to provide weekly trainings/meetings in which we will be able to discuss different topics such as: communicating effectively, problem-solving, leadership, ability to work in a team structure, ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, ability to analyze quantitative data, ability to sell and influence others in a positive manner, the importance of being a good role model in our community and when using social media.
Students will attend different activities and events around the community. They will receive an orientation where they will receive basic safety information to keep themselves safe at all times.
