Youth Support Partner At — YMCA of San Diego County - Youth and Family Services - Our Safe Place
The student will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with under-resourced LGBTQ youth ages 16 - 21 in a drop-in center capacity. Programming will include, facilitating games and activities, social groups, workshop and curriculum design, community engagement and social justice actions.
How to successfully engage with youth and develop rapport; create a workshop curriculum to be used with the youth in a group setting, and participate in civic engagement and social activism.
The student will be provided with all the trainings that a paid staff person receives, including but not limited to: Confidentiality and Client's Rights, Informed Consent, Intake Forms, Assessments, Case Plans, DBT class training, and SMART Recovery SUD training.
