1736 Family Crisis Center - InternAt — 1736 Family Crisis Center
Interns will be placed in one of our confidentially-located shelter for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. They will work primarily with our children, providing the crucial positive intervention needed to break the cycle of violence and help to ensure a violence-free future.
Interns will learn how trauma affects each child differently, the challenges to overcoming obstacles and the importance in teaching our children the differences between healthy and unhealthy relationships. Interns will also gain a vast insight into the daily operations/administration of a residential shelter program.
30-40 minute Intern orientation via zoom prior to placement. Training onsite by site supervisor.
Location confidentiality is required to maintain the safety of residents and staff. Interns are required to sign/submit confidentiality agreements to this effect.
