ASP Intern (Afterschool Program)At — KidWorks
Help K-12th grade students with their homework, academics, computer-based learning, and character development at one of our three learning centers.
As an ASP Volunteer, you will support a child by helping them with their homework, character development, and other educational needs. You don't need specific academic knowledge, just a desire to be a consistent presence in a child’s life. Spending an hour or two a week with a K – 12th grader may not seem like much but it will make all the difference in their world.
Training:
All students will need to attend a new volunteer orientation and training which will introduce students to KidWorks (mission, vision, values, etc.) along with training on what volunteer opportunities are available and the policies and procedures of KidWorks.
Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and performance skills by interacting with students and staff.
-Acquire knowledge of each student, and demonstrate knowledge of student development and learning to promote achievement for all students.
