Community Room Support Service LearningAt — Operation HOPE-North County

Opportunity Summary 

The Community Room Support Service Learning opportunity would focus on maintaining and educational, clean and inviting shelter environment. This role is mainly needed in the evenings at dinner time to assist meal providers with preparing and serving dinner to clients. This position works closely with our youth programs team to create and facilitate activities for the kids and adults.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Volunteers/Interns in this position should expect to have a better understanding of youth homelessness in our community, develop skills to work with those of all backgrounds, and learn how the non profit sector runs.

Opportunity Training 

All Interns and service learning volunteers will receive a tour of the shelter, complete an orientation, receive hands on training in their respective areas.
