We are seeking a Student Assistant to collaborate on the administration of Service Learning and Civic Engagement program components supporting students, faculty and community partners participating in Service Learning courses and Civic Engagement programs. Serve as a liaison to students in Service Learning courses (assist with placement, finding opportunities, database support) and manage Service Learning Virtual Front Desk. Facilitate information sessions for Service Learning placement and Civic Engagement opportunities to the campus community. Conduct Service Learning classroom presentations.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

- The benefits of Service Learning to student academic, career and personal development. - How to discuss the tenants of Service Learning with their Peers. - How to assist students with making a placement in the S4 database. - Created a Service Learning presentation to peers. - Facilitated a Service Learning Placement Session. - Communicate with Community Partners About Opportunity Promotion

Opportunity Training 

We will provide one two(2)-hour on-boarding training, along with weekly one-on-one meetings that include training topics to scaffold learning and acclimation to the Department.
