Service Learners (SLs) will work with Alison Day, supervisor. The SLs will be assigned to go through MCFL's catalog of programs on YouTube as part of the training with the intent of coming up with new and fresh ideas for programs as well as creating the content and recording a goal of 5 videos to post on our YouTube channel, FB and IG pages. In addition, SLs will be asked to assist with the creation of timestamps for YouTube. Other tasks as needed would be assigned to the SLs. The SLs will be required to check in regularly through email with Alison.
Someone who is familiar with filming on a digital device such as a phone or iPad is preferred, but Alison will assist with any questions that arise.
This is a 100% remote opportunity and tasks can be completed at times convenient for the SLs if final deadlines are met and communication is clear and consistent.

Requirements:
- Must be comfortable being in front of the camera – limited work available for those who are not.
- Must have access to technology at home to record videos. This can be a phone, a tablet, or a laptop, but Service Learners must be able to record the videos themselves. Apple products preferred.
- Must check in with site supervisor, Alison, every week during the semester, unless otherwise agreed upon. Alison will send out weekly check-in emails.
- Bilingual ability a plus, but not required.
- Ability to do screenshare tech tutorial videos a plus!
- Ability to edit videos a plus!
Students interested in this position will meet with Alison (the supervisor) to go over the types of content Monterey County Free Libraries is looking for with regard to digital video creation. Alison will go over how to film and has limited equipment to loan out if needed by the student. Phones, tablets and laptops are fine for filming videos. Someone who is familiar with filming on a digital device such as a phone or iPad is preferred, but Alison will assist with any questions that arise.
The supervisor, Alison, is available through email and text message at any time. Alison checks in weekly and schedules Zoom meetings as needed to check in with and support students.
