Service Learners will provide service to patrons of Monterey County Free Libraries – Seaside Branch through the means of Tech Support by completing the following responsibilities:  

Responsibilities:

• Support is needed for members of the public, with a focus on seniors. Your assistance will cover a range of tasks, from demonstrating how to use apps on smartphones to guiding individuals through complex file transfers, especially for those with limited experience. Through this role, you will develop valuable skills in instructional communication, patience, and technical troubleshooting.

Site Requirements:

The library will maintain a consistent schedule throughout the semester. Students will select a one to two hour weekly shift that fits their availability from the library hours listed below and are expected to attend that same day and time each week for the duration of the semester. One student will be assigned to each shift.

Library Hours:
Monday 10 am - 6 pm
Tuesday 11 am - 7 pm
Wednesday 11 am - 7 pm
Thursday 11 am - 7 pm
Friday 10 am - 5 pm
Saturday 10 am - 5 pm
