Opportunity Summary 

Volunteers can choose from many jobs to help UnChained.

Coaching youth in the classroom, photography, videography, video production, website development, marketing, etc. etc.!  Let us know what your interests and skills are and we'll work with you to find the right fit!

Locations: Monterey, Santa Cruz, & Salinas

Requirements - for working directly with youth:

  • Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
  • Must be 21+ years old

 

Opportunity Training 

We will provide all training and materials needed to complete any task. For example, a volunteer coach would be given proper time and training to understand dog body language and how to interact with an at-risk youth while ensuring their continued success.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Fingerprints and background checks are only needed for working with minors.

CSUMB students are strongly avised NOT to transport dogs in their personal vehicles due to the fact that the liability & financial costs for any damages/harm are the responsibility of the student (not CSUMB or UnChained).
