This is a great opportunity for college students to mentor in the criminal justice class, or for student that want to go in the field of teaching while learning to work with youth and adults in trouble.
Learned and understand the criminal justice system, to help young people learn to make better choices and to help adults as well to want to get out of prison while getting a degree in the system.
MATFA trains students to do the task for this program. Many mentors stay on even after their internship is up to assist MATFA further.
Be aware of what you say while speaking with youth. You will have training on this as well.
This is a wonderful program for students that join the MATFA team, all that is required is that you love to work with people that are in trouble and incarcerated as well with youth in the school system.
