Opportunity Summary 

Students will have an opportunity to engage in various tasks required for maintaining on-going research projects and preparing for new research studies.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Manage and clean data collected for social science research studies -Search and locate important sources and information relevant to research projects through databases -Review and summarize the currently literature relating to the project topics in human development/social sciences -Create and test study tools necessary for conducting a human development study -Demonstrate effective written and/or oral communication skills related to research and research methods in the field of human development -Explain ethical principles and relate them to issues inherent in conducting research with human participants -Demonstrate professional/collaboration skills, such as acknowledging multiple points of view

Opportunity Training 

Group or individual training session will be held to help students develop and learn skills needed to perform given tasks/responsibilities

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Students' work will occur mostly on campus. Students should be aware of the university policies regarding safety and responsible for abiding by those policies.

Opportunity Application Instructions 

Intern will be requested to take the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program), an online research, ethics , and compliance training, before they engage in data management tasks.
