REMOTE Public Health Research & Coordinator for Vegan Plant-Based OrganizationAt — Assuaged Foundation, Inc.

Opportunity Summary

The student will perform public health research to understand the environmental, genetic, and social health determinants that influence population health. The research will involve crosscutting and disciplinary measures to analyze population samples, including biological factors, biostatistics, epidemiology, and genetics. Opportunity Learning Outcomes

The Assuaged student tenure processes have continuously improved over time, giving the keys to students and truly allowing them to learn fundamental marketing principles such as managing the back-end of software utilized by multi-billion dollar companies, including Hubspot, Slack, Monday, Agorapulse, and Clockify. The Assuaged Foundation stands with $1M+ in donated free softwares, catering to the student learning process. Students learn SEO, create blogs, newsletters, landing pages, and website pages, and manage business suite platforms connected to major social media platforms. We allow students to publish their goods after going through a monitoring phase instead of what most internship programs do by collecting word, excel, or PDF documents and taking their work to the next level for them, without including them and seeing that they allow students as scholarly learners to initiate the work process from the creating process to the creative method, leading to their published work. Students write healthcare content entailing concise research, including a clear understanding of highly technical information. Students will follow guides gaining the ability to explain that information in a way that is easily understood and accessible to our target audience. Students will learn how to optimize content for SEO while gaining a baseline understanding of how to write about topics in a way that promotes healthy SEO and reaches our intended audience. For example, students write their blogs via Grammarly; then, they follow that process to create a blog on Hubspot. They learn about heading tags and why they are important for SEO, and the use of white-hat principles and long-tail keywords for best optimization. Our analytics show students viewing their website page blog published dozens of times after publishing; hence the psychological display of the student feeling accomplished, trusted, and awarded for their work displayed on our public platforms levying off our $25K monthly free advertisements, hence, giving students credibility to outside employers.

Opportunity Training

Students will contribute to the overall leadership of the team. Responsibilities will include finalizing the survey design, developing data collection tools, coordinating activities, arranging periodic meetings, consolidating individual input from team members, coordinating the process, and analyzing the data. The intern will develop goals for Assuaged and implement procedures so that goals will be met. Responsibilities will include determining targets for Assuaged in efforts to prepare strategic plans to ensure that targets are met. Students will analyze existing strategies and practices, identify areas for improvement, and develop innovative techniques related to the goals they help establish. Duties will focus on public health research and delivery, product development, or marketing strategies. Students will also engage in personable outreach efforts to engage and secure valuable stakeholders, partners, and celebrity influencers for expansive mentorship and internal interests.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity

Students need to relax and give themselves time to learn how to adapt and function in a fully remote workplace environment instead of stressing out about learning and throwing in the towel. Various technology suites may seem daunting and confusing, but following training videos and clicking around to become familiar will aid in an effective learning process. The best practice is to try and learn before giving up on trying.
