Opportunity Summary 

The student will be able to intern at TruEvolution, located in the city of Riverside. The student will be working with populations who are seeking services related to mental health, housing, testing, or non medical case management. Our clients vary from youth to the elderly so students will be able to interact with people of various ages.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

The student should: - Have a better understanding of working with clients from the LGBT community. - Have a better understanding on working with folks living with HIV and social determinants of health. - Have a better understanding on resources available both in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. - Have a better understanding on housing opportunities in the region.

Opportunity Training 

- LGBT 101 - HIV 101 - Cultural humility training - Project Planning - HIPAA Training - Adult and Child Mandated reporting training

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Training will be provided about safety in the office and best practices.
