Intern can meet with students and groups in person and remotely.
Prepare paperwork for class registration, parent presentations, and collaborate with counselors.
Strengthen services provided to students in order to enhance their emotional well-being and improve their academic performance by assisting with researching resources for students and families; helping to develop partners in the community; assisting and observing team meetings with school staff; advocating for students safety, well-being, and education; observing and participating with other school professionals for exposure to students with emotional and behavioral disorders; assisting counselors and therapist with administrative duties; learning about social needs, treatment options, and behavioral approaches for students with mental health issues.
Interns will work in multi-disciplinary teams alongside counselors, principals, psychologists, therapists, and other educators working together to coordinate services to enhance students emotional well-being and improve academic performance.
Interns will also work and collaborate with outside agencies to help students, parents, and school staff work together.
Assist in researching resources for students and families; help develop partners in the community; advocate for students education, safety and well-being.

May encounter challenging situations where students and/or parents may be difficult to work with and/or may be verbally aggressive. However, interns will always be accompanied by a staff member. Also, district safety policies and practices will be discussed with interns.
