Poetry MentorAt — Independent Minds Academy
A poetry mentor is a professional who helps writers develop their skills and abilities in writing poetry. They may work while supervised one-on-one with poets to provide feedback on their work, or they may teach poetry in a classroom or workshop setting. The mentor may help poets develop their creative voice and style, as well as teach them techniques for crafting effective poems, such as using metaphor, imagery, and rhyme. They may also provide guidance on the publishing process and offer advice on how to submit poems to literary magazines and contests. Additionally, the mentor may encourage poets to explore their own personal experiences and emotions in their writing and help them to understand how to connect with readers through their work.
Interns will gain beneficial experience in teaching, working, developing, and leading students.
Training will include tutorials for Google applications that interns will be working with, and training for group setting mentoring for students through a remote setting.
