Opportunity Summary 

This program provides college students, college graduates, or graduate-level students with advanced and unique opportunities to learn about the inner workings of a full-service city and directly interact with the City Manager's Office team and seasoned professionals.

Apply your academic skills and passion for public service to various \\real world\\ assignments within the City!

Job duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Support project-based teams focused on implementing City policy initiatives
  • Perform entry-level program research and analysis
  • Draft reports, written correspondence, and informational flyers
  • Create digital communication such as video and content for social media and websites
  • Provide support to the City's new and existing community outreach initiatives
  • Support various projects for the Office of Communications
  • Plan and coordinate various internal and external meetings
  • Participate in meetings, take notes, and coordinate action items
  • Provide administrative support to the City Manager's Office and the City Council's Office
  • Communicate with other departments, community organizations, and the public

Training:

Overall orientation, weekly scheduled one-on-one supervisory meetings, and various training opportunities

  • Write various reports, conduct analysis, and make presentations or create professional materials
