Opportunity Summary 

​The Santa Cruz County Youth Action Network (YAN) works to create a community where youth and adults promote youth well-being by connecting young people to resources and opportunities to create positive community change and elevate youth voices in decision-making. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Attend Youth Action Network Monthly Team Meetings, Quarterly Meetings and other YAN Events Support in meeting and event support; facilitation, small group discussions Research on best practice youth programs and policies, positive youth development and theories of change models Administrative tasks; assist with YAN projects as directed Community Engagement & Social media management; support in website updates, monthly newsletters, scan news outlets for relevant news stories and maintain archive binders Interns will have the opportunity to work with various stakeholders and community members, representing: business, community-based organizations, public health, and individuals with lived experience. Interns will also support are Youth Participatory Action Research Project with UC Santa Cruz
