Opportunity Summary
The Undergraduate Course Assistant position provides a formal way to expose students to the teaching experience and to learn about the education of Psychology. It also provides tutoring to students who need and want tutorial assistance.
This is an unpaid position for students enrolled in Psychology 495 and seeking to fulfill internship hours.
In order to be considered students need to have passed the class they wish to TA for with at least a B+ to be considered.
- Hold tutorial hours for students Record and/or post grades
- Develop tutorial material for course Hold office hours via zoom (1 hour per week Min.)
- Correcting Homework and/or exams
- Conduct review sessions via zoom
- Assist Instructor during class meetings
- Creating/modifying practice exams
- Keep track of field work site/internship hours (general record keeping)
- Lead a class discussion (with instructor in the session)
TA's needed for:
- Psych of Gender (Psyc 310) MW 1:00-2:15p
- Psych of Human Sexuality (Psyc 312) M 4:00-6:45p
- Psych Testing/Assessment (Psyc 461) W 4:00-6:45
