Urban Agriculture Community-based Research Experience (U-ACRE) Program
U-ACRE fellows and associates participating in the Fullerton Arboretum develop technical and research skills.
U-ACRE student activities include participating in the set-up and maintenance of aquaculture, hydroponic, and vermi-compost systems to purse research projects.
Student research focuses on sustainable practices in urban agriculture and specific projects
The following student learning outcomes are met through this position:
• Demonstrate leadership and teamwork in a diverse environment including community engagement
• Develop research question and methods focusing on urban food systems, food decision making, or resource management
• Collect and analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data
• Disseminate results of their experience through effective oral and written communication
