School Based Mental Health & Wellness Internship At — Sacramento County Office of Education

Opportunity Summary 

A partnership between the Sacramento County Office of Education and the Sacramento County Department of Health Services is breaking ground on an innovative way to address children and youth mental health with the goal of placing a licensed mental health clinician in every school in the county to work within a continuum of care at the school site. Licensed mental health clinicians provide direct mental health services and equitable support, while also working to integrate Social Emotional Learning into the entire school community and further develop Schools as Centers of Wellness.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

As part of a multidisciplinary team that utilizes clinical evidence-based practices, we work with diverse clients to support Social Emotional Learning on a school campus. You will join this team and support our students and families, providing access to resources and basic needs.
