Opportunity Summary 

Performs various administrative tasks in support of the HR department. Update employee databases, gather payroll data, screen resumes, schedule interviews, post job ads, and assist in preparing HR-related reports. Additionally, they address employee queries and edit company policies. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in HR processes, allowing interns to gain a comprehensive understanding of HR functions and contribute to the smooth operation of the department.

Tasks:

\n

Summarizing in writing the key laws and siting valid sources. Answering questions during a mentoring session. Successfully sourcing a pool of candidates for up to five open positions. Presenting up to five new job position descriptions with accurate information to be used for pay.

Training:

\n

Attend two-hour onboarding webinar. One-on-one tutorial explaining HR disciplines and relevance to an organization 's success. Job shadowing with a Talent Acquisition Specialist to learn candidate sourcing techniques using online job boards. Assign HR policies for review and edit and/or creation from a basic concept

Learning Outcome:

\n

Identify and explain four disciplines of Human Resources. Identify five employment laws in California. Source job candidates using job descriptions and online job boards. Edit and rewrite employment policies and/or handbook verbiage. Prepare job descriptions used to determine market pay for various jobs
