Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the lead educator in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for children. This role involves assisting with curriculum implementation, providing care and supervision, and fostering the overall well-being of the children in our care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead educator in planning and executing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Provide constant supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Support in maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Assist with the implementation of positive behavior management techniques.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians, sharing information about children's activities and progress.
- Provide additional support to children with special needs or requiring extra attention.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, achievements, and incidents.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, implementing emergency procedures when necessary.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff members to create a cohesive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 1-2 years of prior experience working as a member of a classroom team with ECE age groups
- 12 Early Childhood Education Units.

- Child and Infant CPR Certification
Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address the specific needs of children and families.
Participate in meetings with parents, professionals, and community members to discuss and advocate.
Conduct research on relevant regulations and policies governing early childhood education.
Create a comprehensive guide or resource document.
Plan and execute community engagement events or activities to involve parents and community members.
Maintain detailed records of children's achievements, progress, an incidents, demonstrating accuracy and organization.
Engage in regular communication with parents, providing updates on children's progress and activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective communication strategies.
Training:
weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings and job shadowing
