Volunteer with Preschool ChildrenAt — The Kids Bay Learning Center

Opportunity Summary 

This site provides an opportunity to work alongside teachers in their everyday routines and allows the service learning participant to gain insight into how a working classroom operates. The student will be able to participate with children's learning and ask the teachers questions regarding how their classroom runs, how the children behave, and how they use their knowledge to better the child's learning experience.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will have learned how to prepare and impliment a lesson plan, how to host a circle time, how to complete an activity with a large group of children, and how to apply lesson they are learning in their college courses to everyday childhood interactions.

Opportunity Training 

In order to prefrom these responsibilities, students will be provided training with the head teacher in the room they are working with. The teacher in that room will provide knowledge on how to complete the tasks that they will be asked to preform.
