Remote-ready for Summer 2024
The Student Intern, shall be under supervision of the Program Coordinator and Funding Development Coordinator. The Student Intern shall shadow, develop and practice the skills essential for community organizing, program development & evaluation, coalition building, funding development, grant management and reporting.
The duties the student intern(s) will be performing include:
- Program development and evaluation
- Budget development & analysis
- Resource development and management
- Coalition/ network building and management
- Grant writing and review
- Presentation development and facilitation before peers, professionals, potential sponsors/ donors, and key stakeholders
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings, community outreach/ events
- Attend weekly individual and/or group supervision/ mentoring meetings.
Training:
The training opportunities include initial General employer orientation (mandatory), weekly scheduled one-on-one mentor meetings, job shadowing, community organizing, program development & evaluation, coalition building, funding development, grant management and reporting.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the academic internship, the student will be able to identify the process and the skills essential for community organizing, program development & evaluation, coalition building, funding development, grant management and reporting.
