Opportunity Summary 

Position: Brand Partnerships Intern

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Applicants must be located in the Los Angeles area and/or have reliable transportation to the Los Angeles area.)

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of PR campaigns and strategies:

Collaborate with the PR team to brainstorm campaign ideas and strategies.

Support the execution of PR initiatives across various channels and platforms.

Monitor media coverage and compile media reports:

Track media mentions and coverage related to our clients and industry trends.

Compile comprehensive media reports highlighting key insights and coverage metrics.

Create and maintain media lists and contact databases:

Build and update media lists comprising relevant journalists, influencers, and media outlets.

Maintain accurate contact databases to facilitate communication and outreach efforts.

Assist in organizing and coordinating press events, conferences, and interviews:

Provide logistical support for press events, including venue coordination and guest management.

Assist in scheduling and coordinating interviews with media representatives and influencers.

Event coordination for press events, includes logistics, setup, and attendee management.

Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media outlets:

Stay informed about industry trends, emerging platforms, and competitor activities.

Research media outlets and influencers to identify potential collaboration opportunities.

Assist in PR mailer assembly:

Assist in the creation and assembly of PR mailers for distribution to media outlets and influencers.

Ensure timely delivery and follow-up on PR mailers to maximize visibility and impact.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a degree program in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving.

Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing trends is a plus.

Previous internship or relevant experience in PR, marketing, or media relations is desirable.

Must have reliable transportation and/or be located in the Los Angeles area.

Training:

Initial General Employer Orientation (mandatory):
Introduction to Poosh's organizational structure, culture, policies, and values.
Overview of the company's mission, vision, and key stakeholders.
Weekly Scheduled One-on-One Mentor Meetings:
Regular mentorship sessions to provide guidance, feedback, and support.
Opportunities for interns to discuss challenges, set goals, and receive personalized advice.
Job Shadowing:

Observation of experienced professionals to understand tasks, workflows, and decision-making processes.
Workshops/Skills Training:

Workshops covering technical skills, soft skills, and industry-specific knowledge.
Topics may include project management, communication skills, data analysis, etc.
Provision of Work Samples:

Access to work samples and case studies for analysis and learning purposes.
Overview/Contextualization of Assigned Tasks:

Comprehensive briefing on task objectives, expected outcomes, and relevance within Poosh's operations.
Training Literature Reviews:

Encouragement to engage in literature reviews relevant to projects and field of study.
Weekly Meetings Sharing Strategy Insights:

Regular sessions sharing strategy insights on current campaigns.
Interns analyze past campaign outcomes and bring their own strategies.
Share Media Coverage and Past Reports:

Review of media coverage and past reports to showcase industry standards.
Interns will be tasked with completing similar reports throughout the internship.
Share Media Lists and Contact Databases:

Access to media lists and contact databases used by the company.
Demonstration on how to find and maintain these databases.
Demonstrate Coordination Process:

Practical demonstration of coordinating processes for various tasks.
Meetings arranged for interns to ask questions about the coordination processes.
Share Past Industry Research and Company Objectives:

Access to past industry research to guide interns' understanding.
Sharing company objectives for upcoming quarters to direct research efforts.

Learning Outcomes:
